Frequently Asked Questions and Support

Clarify your every worry

This is absolutely not the case, and we continue to use palliative care to manage uncomfortable symptoms and allow patients to live each day the way they want to.

Apart from cancer, advanced heart and lung failure, renal disease, neurodegenerative disease, etc. are also applicable and will be subject to initial assessment by a professional team.

Not necessarily. Care can be received at home, in a residential institution or in a co-operative healthcare organisation according to the family's preference.

Yes, we do. We have a 24-hour medical hotline and an emergency on-site response mechanism to deal with unforeseen medical conditions.

Fees are calculated on the basis of service content, and insurance claims can be applied for some of the programmes. A subsidy assessment mechanism is also in place.

Designing tailor-made hospice programmes to meet patients' needs

Our home hospice services are designed for patients with advanced cancer, chronic organ failure and neurodegenerative conditions, including end-stage heart, kidney, lung and Parkinson's disease, and neurodegenerative conditions. Before the service is launched, the team will conduct an initial family interview to understand the patient's medical history, family situation and care expectations, and jointly set personalised care goals. During the period of care, we will arrange for our medical staff to visit the patient's home on a regular basis and provide medication, equipment delivery and 24-hour hotline support to ensure that every detail is taken care of. When the patient reaches the end of his/her life, we will accompany him/her until the end of his/her life. We will also provide bereavement counselling and resource referrals to his/her family for up to six months to help him/her to have a smooth transition and to make adjustments in his/her aftercare, thus truly realising the concept of "Person-centred, Dignified and Hospitable End-of-life Care".

Multi-collaborative support

Combining Community and Professional Strengths
Expanding the Hospice Support Network

We have established collaboration platforms with residential care homes for the elderly, social welfare organisations and psychological counselling centres to promote home-based hospice care services at the grassroots level and to extend the reach of patient care to the community.

Case Sharing

True Stories Testify to the Power of Caring

Through the real-life sharing of patients and their families, we present how our companionship and support on the road to hospice care can make the last journey of life more dignified, peaceful and meaningful.
